The international research journal CLEaR publishes scholarly papers on various aspects of comparative literature and its education. The Journal continues and develops the academic and publishing traditions of the conference proceedings from the International Conferences on Language and Literature in Education and Research (CLEaR), organised annually by SlovakEdu, n. o.

The content of individual issues is reviewed and decided upon by International Editorial Board. The quality of the papers is ensured by a double blind-peer reviewing process. CLEaR is published as an open-access online journal. Readers or their institutions are not charged for the access to its online version. They may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles for free, provided that they are used solely for non-commercial purposes. For the time being, CLEaR papers (open access digital documents) are archived in the SlovakEdu digital library with a prospect of their future archiving in one of the certified digital repositories (since 2016).
